With the theme of “Entering China’s Shipbuilding Industry, Experiencing the Strength of a Maritime Power, and Building Youth Consensus,” the event provided an immersive study platform for young people from Hong Kong and Macao. During the visit, youth representatives toured the exhibition halls of Jiangnan Shipyard and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding to learn about the historical development of the enterprises. They also visited frontline shipbuilding sites, where they observed large liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, widely regarded as the “crown jewels” of the global shipbuilding industry, as well as the large cruise ship Adora Flora City. Through these visits, they gained a vivid understanding of China’s leapfrog development in shipbuilding, from catching up with international leaders to becoming a global frontrunner.

Throughout the visit, the participants observed, exchanged ideas and reflected on what they had learned. Advanced facilities, leading technologies and magnificent vessels allowed the young visitors to experience the impressive scale and strength of China’s major shipbuilding achievements. They were also deeply moved by the stories of generations of shipbuilders who have remained dedicated to craftsmanship and continued striving for excellence. Many participants said that the visit to CSSC was highly meaningful and rewarding. It enabled them not only to witness world-class shipbuilding technologies, but also to gain a deeper appreciation of the strong momentum driving the development of the motherland. Looking ahead, they expressed their willingness to actively integrate themselves into the overall development of the country, give full play to their own strengths, promote exchanges between Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland, and contribute their youthful energy to a new chapter of unity, cooperation and shared progress.
