On June 1, the opening ceremony of the Greece Representative Office of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) was held in Athens. Fang Qiu, Chinese Ambassador to Greece, Jia Haiying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of CSSC, and other guests attended the ceremony and jointly unveiled the representative office.

The representative office was established under the leadership of China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd., which will also be responsible for its overall management and operation. It is an important step for CSSC to improve its global business network and optimize its overseas market layout.

Looking ahead, the Greece Representative Office will focus on its core functions, fully integrate CSSC’s whole-industry-chain resources, deepen its presence in the Greek market, and extend its services across the wider European maritime market. It will also closely follow frontline market demand in Europe for new ship types and marine equipment, while connecting with local European marine equipment suppliers, maritime service providers, and maritime financial resources.

Through the establishment of the office, CSSC aims to further strengthen its cooperation with the European maritime industry and enhance its ability to serve global customers with high-quality shipbuilding, marine equipment, and integrated maritime solutions.
