A Team Visit to CICOST Lead by Guo Chengxin, Deputy General Manager of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd -- Aimed to Jointly Promote the Collaborat

On October 9th, Deputy General Manager of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd Guo Chengxin and other seven members came to CICOST (Collaborative Innovation Center of Offshore and Ship Technology). They held the meetings to jointly discuss promote the operation of the Center and also exchanged with the innovation teams to deal with technical difficulties which enterprise urgented to solve. The meeting was chaired by Xia Guihua, the director committee of the Center.

In the meeting, both two teams, the Technological Innovation Team of Center Deep-Water Floating Structure and the Technological Innovation Team of Green Energy Saving and Environmental Protection, respectively introduced the basic self-situation and did an in-depth discussion on the technical difficulties about Jack-up Production Storage Offloading Platform, FDPSO, Semi-submersible Supporting Platform and the Key Technology of Medium-Sized Floating Structures. Subsequently, each of them conducted deep exchanges with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd to promote the work of high-tech projects of the Ministry which all of them are collaboratively bearing. These projects are the Research on Information Management Technology of Jack-up Rig Design and Construction Platform and the Research on Application Technology of Solar Energy on Oil Ship. Through the exchange, they further confirmed the future work objectives and technical details, which laid the solid foundation for completing project successfully.

Xia Guihua said, the cooperation between the Harbin Engineering University and Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd has a long history. He hoped both sides can deepen it and become model of college-enterprise cooperative innovation. At the same time, the main goal of both collaborative innovation works is to "support the traditional, lead the emerging", namely, to expand new areas of research based on the traditional theory study and to play the leader role in the development of new areas. So he also hoped that enterprise can further sort out some problems of the actual demand, cooperate with classification society, research institutes and other enterprises to demonstrate long-term development goals, select a new direction and new ideas to lead the development of industry and construct the cooperative new mode (JIP mode), which is the mode that the preliminary basic study is commonly input by a series of universities (JDP mode), the late-stage is main by enterprises, then form the situation of the university-enterprise continuous research toward the practical demand. Guo Chengxin fully affirmed the condition and research base of the Center and also expressed thanks to Harbin Engineering University for providing helps in the key technological problems. He hoped that university and enterprise can further strengthen communication, show their own characteristics and advantages of integration of collaborative innovation, develop large cooperation projects according to the long-term goal, and then make the Center larger and stronger.
