Underwater Operation Equipment Tech Innovation Team of Harbin Engineering University Deep Ocean Engineering and High Tech Collaborative Innovation Center Went to the United States Offshore Technology Conference and Recruit Overseas Talents
On May 5th to 8th, the chief scientist Wang Liquan of Underwater Operation Equipment Tech Innovation Team of Harbin Engineering University Deep Ocean Engineering and High Tech Collaborative Innovation Center, together with other four members, attended the 45th Houston Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and there broadcast our center and recruited overseas talents.
The American (Houston) Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) which is annually organized by the American Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) starting from 1969, has now become the world most influential professional conference in the field of oil and gas exploration, exploitation, production and environmental protection. OTC attracts the world’s biggest oil companies and top international oil equipment suppliers, and shows the current world's most advanced technology and equipment in developing offshore oil.
During the conference, our delegation of Underwater Operation Equipment Tech Innovation Team focused on a special investigation of technical content of some major national projects we are now undertaking, mainly on the latest international technologies in deep-water subsea production system equipment, submarine pipeline laying equipment and submarine pipeline maintenance operation. Meanwhile, it is a golden chance for us to carry on the cooperation and communicate with FMC, One offshore, Inc and WACHS and other top companies’ technical personnel.
This trip to OTC has successfully built a communication platform between Underwater Operation Equipment Tech Innovation Team and top international oil companies and equipment suppliers, expanded the international influence of our innovation center in the same field, laid a solid foundation of international collaborative innovation, and made contribution to bring in overseas high-level talents.
